Kevin and Annika when calling in Nashville 2016 Allow us to introduce ourselves: Our Square Dance club is run by Kevin Lovell, who is also the caller, and his wife Annika. Whilst we live in Milton Keynes, which is about 40 miles North East of London, in the UK, we run club nights, dances and classes in a variety of locations - most of which are within an hour of this very central location. However, as well as running such events, we still dance regularly - so if you see us on a dance floor somewhere do come over and say Hi.
You may already be very familiar with Square Dancing. However, if you would like see an example click on the video clip on the right (filmed at a recent club night) or follow the 'What Is It?' link at the top of the page to learn more (or look at some of the links on our 'Useful Links' page).

As a caller, Kevin is fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to call at dances not only in the UK but also in Europe and the USA, and he very much looks forward to calling at an event near you soon.

If you are looking for a caller you should visit Kevin's website as he is able to provide his services for a variety of events:

  • Any individual or club dance at the Basic, Mainstream, Plus or Advanced levels, or mixture thereof.
  • Any club needing a stand-in caller, at all levels up to A2.
  • Anyone wishing to hold a 'party' for non-square dancers: typically a Barn Dance or Hoe Down.

You will find his prices very competitive, and normally significantly cheaper than a disco or band would charge. The actual amount varies depending upon a number of factors: the type of event, the number that are expected to attend, how much notice is being given, where the dance is, etc., so please get in touch to discuss the particulars. You will find that he can be very flexible, providing a fixed price or one that varies depending upon the number of people that come along.
